Police investigation to disrupt access to GTA highway network

Roads adjacent to a major GTA highway have been shut down due to a police investigation.

Toronto police today have stated that, due to a large police presence at Meadowvale Road and Hwy 401 in Scarborough, numerous lanes will be closed or disrupted.

According to the report, all westbound collector lanes are currently closed on Hwy 401 at Meadowvale Rd, as well as the ramp from Port Union Rd to W/B Hwy 401.

Lane closures on southbound Meadowvale Rd at Hwy 401 are also in effect.

Police have not stated the nature of the incident or the status of the ongoing investigation, but have stated that motorists can anticipate heavy traffic delays in the area.
