Police investigating suspicious death of elderly Oshawa woman

UPDATE – Durham Police are investigating what they are calling the “suspicious death” of an elderly woman in south Oshawa yesterday.

Officers were called to the scene around 3:30, November 2 on a trouble call after a child returned home and found his grandmother, 67, dead in the home.

Facebook comments from those near the scene place the home between Minden Street and Sharbot Street.

The coroner arrived shortly after but an autopsy has yet to be scheduled. Police consider the death suspicious and continue to investigate.

More information will follow, according to DRPS. No arrests have yet been made.
