Police investigating shooting that occurred in Brampton

Peel Regional Police (PRP) is investigating a shooting in Brampton. 

At 7:34 p.m. on Wednesday (May 19), PRP was called to the area of The Gore Road and Don Minaker Drive in relation to a shooting wherein an adult woman was shot at a private residence. 

According to police, a dark-coloured vehicle was seen leaving the area. 

Paramedics are tending to the victim, the severity of her injuries is still unknown. 

Residents can expect a heavy police presence in the area, as PRP continues to investigate.
