Police investigating reports of armed carjacking in Mississauga

Police are investigating a reported gunpoint carjacking in Mississauga. 

Peel police allege that a suspect with a gun stole a 2009 black Honda Civic in the Oscar Peterson Blvd. and Eglinton Ave. W. area around 1:00 pm. 

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. 

Police say the suspect fled the area in the vehicle and was involved in a collision in the process. 

According to police, the vehicle has been located in the Hwy 403 and Hwy 401 area.

The suspect has since fled on foot. 

Police say the suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. He was last seen wearing a blue mask. 

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
