Police Investigating Possible Hit and Run In Mississauga

Peel Police are currently in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Crosscurrent Drive, where a female pedestrian was reportedly struck.
The suspected vehicle in the incident did not remain on scene.
Peel Police report that the WCB is closed southbound from Derry Road, as well as northbound at Argentia Road.
The female adult was subsequently transported to a trauma centre.
Major Collisions Bureau is currently investigating.
UPDATE: Police say the victim is a 52 year-old female, she is in critical condition at trauma centre. Suspect vehicle is a black SUV with damage to drivers side. Investigators, according to police, are appealing to the driver to contact a lawyer and follow up with police.
