Halton Regional Police are investigating what Inhalton.com sources say was a robbery at a local Oakville bank on Thursday.

The Scotiabank branch in the Dorval Crossing West Shopping Centre, located at 300 North Service Rd. W., was temporarily closed as of Thursday afternoon.

“We advise this branch has just been involved in a robbery/emergency situation,” the bank manager says in a sign posted on the front inside door of the bank.

“We will be closed until completion of the police investigation.”

Halton Police had not responded to information requests by inhalton.com.
