Police Investigating Homicide of 83 Year Old Woman in Mississauga

Police are appealing for witnesses in a homicide investigation.
At 9:48 a.m. on the morning of Friday, December 21, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female at a residence in the area of Cawthra Road and Silver Creek Boulevard.
Police located the victim, an 83 year old woman, with signs of trauma.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld as police are in the process of notifying next of kin.
Police believe this incident, reported to be the 26th homicide of the year in Peel, is isolated.
