Police investigating homicide at motel in Hamilton

A homicide investigation is underway in Hamilton this afternoon (July 18).

Shortly after 12:00 p.m., police reported that they’re investigating a homicide at Red Rose Motel, located on Queenston Road west of Nash Road.

Early reports indicate that a male victim was fatally stabbed. There is currently no suspect description.

This is the 10th homicide of the year in Hamilton.

Queenston is closed in both directions from Woodman Drive to Nash Road.

“There is a heavy police presence and traffic is affected. Please avoid the area,” said police.
