Police investigating BB gun shooting on highway in Caledon

Provincial police are investigating a highway shooting that took place over the weekend in Caledon.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, a gray Subaru Impreza was traveling southbound on Highway 10 near King Street when it was approached by a black SUV.

The driver heard three consecutive loud bangs and pulled over a short time later to inspect their vehicle.

“The damage has been determined to be consistent with pellets from a BB gun,” said OPP. “No injuries were sustained as a result of this incident.”

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be last seen taking the Queen Street exit from Highway 410 South. Police have no further suspect description at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
