Police investigating armed robbery in Georgetown

Halton police are investigating after an armed robbery occurred in Georgetown.

Police say that on March 24, 2022, they responded to the Circle K convenience store located at 10 Mountainview Rd. South in Georgetown, for reports of an armed robbery.

According to police, just before 2:30 a.m., two suspects entered the store, approached an employee and demanded cash from the register.

Police say one of the suspects stated he had a gun, although no gun was observed.

The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and no physical injuries were sustained during the robbery, according to police.

Police responded to the area, however, efforts to locate the suspects were unsuccessful.

According to police, the first suspect is described as a Black male, in his mid-20s, was 6’0″ tall and was wearing a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood and black pants with a thick neon yellow stripe.

The second suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, was 5’11” and was wearing a gray jacket and jeans.

Police say the same two suspects had also entered the convenience store at approximately 2:20 a.m. and left, prior to coming back to commit the robbery.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has CCTV or dashcam video of the area between 2:00 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext 2416.
