Police investigating after man pronounced dead in vehicle collision in Hamilton

Around 4:20 p.m. on Friday, August 28, police say a 44 year old male from Stoney Creek was driving eastbound on South Service Road from Centennial Parkway North.
“The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to strike a hydro pole on the south side of the road,” said police.
Hamilton Fire, police, and paramedics were called to the scene and the driver was pronounced dead.
Police say speed and alcohol have not yet been ruled out as factors in the investigation.
The male was driving a dark blue 2006 BMW four-door vehicle when he lost control.
