Police investigating after “large quantity of narcotics” stolen during armed robbery at Hamilton pharmacy

Hamilton Police say officers are investigating an alleged armed robbery at a local pharmacy where a large number of narcotics were stolen. 

Police say that shortly before 7:00 pm on June 22, 2021, a lone male suspect robbed a pharmacy in the Stoney Creek area. 

Police allege a large amount of unmixed methadone powder was stolen.

According to police, the whereabouts of these drugs are not known at this time.

“Police are concerned as improper consumption of these opioid drugs could be fatal. The risk is especially high in the case of children. If you find lost or discarded medication, do not touch it and contact police,” police said in a news release.
