Police investigate mistaken report of school shooting threat in Mississauga

Peel police say a school shooting threat that was thought to be related to Mississauga appears to have been unfounded.

A call came in at 4:03 p.m. this afternoon (Oct. 24) for a complaint of a school shooting threat at a local school, police said.

However, upon investigation, police found that the video which contained the threat was referring to a school in St. Joseph, Missouri.

“Authorities in Missouri have three in custody,” said police.

Police are reiterating that there was no connection between the video in question and any local schools.
