Police investigate a shooting in Hamilton

Hamilton Police Service ask for the public’s assistance in collecting more information about a shooting that happened in Hamilton last night (June 3).

At approximately 11:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Gibson Ave. and Wilson St. after reports of a shooting having just occurred.

Police can confirm a shooting took place, but no injuries were reported.

The Hamilton Police Service are asking residents in the area to review their home security camera footage from June 3 at 11:15 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. Report any suspicious activity to the police.

Investigating detectives also ask drivers in the area at the time of the shooting to review their dash camera footage.

Division One Criminal Investigation Branch has taken charge of the investigation.
