Police hoping to get information on collision that killed an 88-year-old Welland man

Niagara Police are still trying to piece together a July 22 collision between a car and a man driving an electric scooter.

Just after 9:05 am on July 22, police were called to the intersection of Thorold Road and Prince Charles Drive Road in Welland where a car driven by a 46-year-old Welland woman had collided with an electric sit-down scooter being driven by an 88-year-old Welland man.

Seriously injured at the scene, the police learned this morning (July 27), the man passed away from his injuries.

No charges have been laid to date as the police are still trying to reconstruct the accident.
