A Mississauga man is facing a rash of firearm and drug charges after police found a loaded Glock 33 handgun inside a car during a traffic stop today (Oct. 6) near Square One Shopping Centre.

After pulling over a vehicle near Confederation Pkwy. and Princess Royal Dr., Peel Regional Police patrol officers discovered the loaded weapon, with a prohibited extended magazine, and an amount of marijuana.

“Despite the unknown risks they faced at the time, the diligent investigation by the officers has helped take another illegal firearm off our streets, and contributed to the safety and well-being of our community,” said Andrews.
