Police confirm afternoon shooting on Hamilton Mountain

An investigation by the Hamilton Police Service (HPS) confirmed a shooting took place on the mountain Thursday (Oct. 14) afternoon.
Police received reports of a shooting just before 3:30 p.m. in the area of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.
No injuries have been reported and the suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
Detectives are appealing to area residents or anyone who may have been travelling on the Linc between the hours of 3:15 p.m and 4:00 p.m. to check their dash cameras for any suspicious activity.
