Police car involved in two-vehicle crash that closes major road in Mississauga

'Serious' crash sees driver rushed to hospital in Brampton

UPDATE: Peel Regional Police said just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday that there were no serious injuries in the two-vehicle crash and that all roads have now reopened. 

 

One person has been rushed to hospital and part of a major road in Mississauga’s west end has been closed after a police cruiser and another vehicle collided early this morning.

Peel Regional Police said via social media that one of their cruisers and a passenger vehicle were involved in a crash on southbound Erin Mills Parkway, near Credit Valley Road, at about 8:30 a.m.

One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance, police said. They didn’t say if the injured person is a police officer or a person in the other vehicle.

Southbound Erin Mills Parkway is closed to traffic at Credit Valley Road until further notice. Police tell motorists to use alternate routes.
