For the second consecutive day police had to show up at Oakville Trafalgar High School after bomb threats were received.

Halton Regional Police indicate the threats received today (Nov. 17) were similar to those received yesterday. However, police have searched the school and deemed it safe for students to attend classes.

The threats have been sent by email.

Reports indicate the threats mention the ongoing situation at the school where a transgender teacher has been dressing provocatively wearing large prosthetic breasts with prominent nipples, tight tops and a blonde wig. Officials at the Halton District School Board have also been singled out for abuse after a decision last week that will allow the teacher to continue to wear the controversial attire.

The school has been at the centre of attention internationally because of the attire worn by the teacher.

Last week, responding to complaints, the school board said a dress code for teaching staff would not be enforced because of legal and human rights issues.
