Police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting from this past August in Mississauga.

In the afternoon of August 13, police responded to a call in the area of Apple Blossom Circle, where they found a woman who had been shot. The suspect had fled the scene, but police later located him in the area of Sandford Farm Drive and Stargazer Drive.

When police attempted to arrest Michael Cleghorn, the 31-year-old suspect with no fixed address, a scuffle ensued, and Cleghorn fled the scene in a stolen police car. He later abandoned the car and fled on foot, managing to avoid capture until he was arrested today.

Cleghorn has been charged with several criminal offences including attempted murder.
