Police arrest Niagara Falls man as suspect in stabbing case

A September 3 stabbing in Niagara Falls has resulted in charges on a local man.

Yesterday (September 13), Niagara Police arrested Edward James Kasper, 32, of Niagara Falls and charged him with attempted murder.

On September 3rd, the police were called to the Eastwood Crescent and Ontario Avenue area after reports of a stabbing.

Once there, they found a female victim with multiple stab wounds. EMS quickly got her to an out-of-town hospital where she was treated and now subsequently released. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Kasper is being held in custody for a video bail hearing at the courthouse in St. Catharines today (September 14).
