Police arrest fugitive charged in shooting death of Hamilton teen, Myah Larmond

The Hamilton Police Service announced the arrest of the 23-year-old male fugitive charged in the shooting death of 17-year-old Myah Larmond in 2020.
The Hamilton Police Service announced Tuesday morning that the 23-year-old male fugitive charged in the shooting death of 17-year-old Myah Larmond in 2020 has been located and arrested.
Devante Skye-Davis has been wanted by police since July 13, 2022, for two counts of failing to comply with his release order.
He was charged with manslaughter after Larmond was shot on July 16, 2020, during a social gathering at a home on St. Matthews Ave. — in Hamilton’s Barton and Wentworth area.
Larmond was taken to hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Police believed an accidental firearm discharge was to blame.
