Police are looking for 33-year-old man wanted for serious crimes in Brampton

Peel Regional Police and investigators of the Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for a string of serious crimes, including attempted murder, multiple firearm and drug-related offenses.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Nakeem Jamar Johnson from Vaughn, is considered armed and dangerous.

The search for Johnson stems from an incident that occurred on February 3, 2022, at approximately 10:39 p.m. Police responded to a shooting in the vicinity of Queen St. E., and Rutherford Rd. in Brampton.

The victim, also a 33-year-old male, sustained gunshot wounds, which were deemed serious but not life-threatening, according to authorities.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts to contact  investigators at 905-453-2121.
