Milton residents who see a cow on the road should moo-ve out of the way.

Late Friday night (July 30), police say livestock were being unloaded from a trailer in south Milton when a “rogue cow” escaped handlers.

She is described as a black 900 lb. cow who is not contained and has access to open roadways.

Police say extreme vigilance should be exercised when driving in the areas of Highway 25 (Regional Road 25) between Lower Base Line and Britannia Road, and on Britannia Road between First Line and Thompson Road.

The handlers and officers are continuing to try to locate the animal.
