Plug your ears: Controlled explosion scheduled at Stelco Hamilton on Wednesday

Hamilton residents may hear a loud explosion Wednesday morning.
Stelco will conduct a controlled detonation of a large blast furnace structure at 9 a.m.
The operation could continue until 4 p.m.
Hamilton Police took to Twitter to warn residents.
“Be advised this will be very big and very loud,” they tweeted.
The project will be overseen by both the Hamilton and Halton marine units.
