Christmas season in one Burlington neighbourhood is about to get off to another great start.

The Aldershot Village Tree Lighting will once again kick off the holiday season with a wide array of events.

This year, there will be plenty of cool and fun activities for kids and families, including hot chocolate and snacks, choirs and live music, Santa Claus and friends, face painting, balloons, Dragonbreath Entertainment and Glisse on Ice.

Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items for the annual Halton Police Cram-A-Cruiser campaign for the Compassion Society of Halton and the Burlington Food Bank.

Visitors will also be able to start their holiday shopping at the popular vendor market which will feature some old favourites and new vendors as well.

Entertainment will be provided by the Makwendam Public School Choir, Enchorus Children’s Choir, St Mathew Bell Choir, Emma Whale & Brad Boland.

Everything is happening between 355 Plains Rd. E. and East Plains United Church parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 6 p.m.
