Turning your garden into a sanctuary for native species doesn’t have to be a difficult task.

BurlingtonGreen can help you with your environmental transition through its garden kit program.

The local environmental agency is selling three kits this year to meet different types of garden conditions but when they come to fruition will provide a welcoming place for local wildlife.

Native plants are important because they adapt better to local environmental conditions and usually require less watering. Also, native plants provide a natural habitat for local birds and other species that are essential in keeping our ecosystem operating.

The kits come with pollinator seed packets prepared by BurlingtonGreen volunteers.

Kits available are for sun-loving gardens, shade gardens and gardens to attract Monarch butterflies.

The kits are $30 each and can be ordered online by following this link.

All proceeds from the kits go directly to support nature-friendly Burlington programming to protect and care for local green space and habitat.

All purchases are for pick-up only ( no shipping available). Pickup is Sunday, May 26 between 10 am and 3:30 pm at the BurlingtonGreen Eco Hub by the beach ( 1094 Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario. L7S 1A7)

You can contact BurlingtonGreen at [email protected] or 905-975-5563 to arrange pick up of your order.
