Planning policies are currently being developed to shape the area near Milton GO Station.

The area within a 10-minute walk from the GO station is a destination point in Milton that features the potential for both a transit-supportive development as well as public realm enhancements.

Back in April, Milton Council gave Town staff the go-ahead to develop policies meant to guide the development around the Mobility Hub, which will be a “transit-oriented and pedestrian-friendly destination” located in the downtown core.

Additionally, it will be mixed-use and provide accessible public spaces and feature design excellence and frame views to the Niagara Escarpment.

Over the last few months, the Town’s goal was to collect feedback from the community as well as final approval from Council, in order to develop short-term planning initiatives.

As a result, residents are still invited to provide their input through an online survey that will address the planning initiatives and additional details such as density, land use, parking, building heights, urban design, open space and more.

Feedback collected from the survey will be discussed at an upcoming virtual statutory public meeting that is set to take place on Oct. 4 at 7:00 p.m.
