A proposed residential complex with a unique design will undergo public scrutiny at an upcoming meeting.

The project is being sought for a vacant lot in an area that has long been used for industrial purposes.

Proposed for 2362 Fairview Street near Guelph Line, the plan calls for 338 residences ranging from bachelor to larger units with two or more bedrooms as well as ground floor, two-storey townhouses. The ground floor will also be able to accommodate stores and other commercial-use spaces.

If the project receives approval from the City of Burlington to proceed, a 13-storey structure will rise in the lot and feature a C-shape design.

A public session to present the project has been set for Aug. 7 at 9:30 a.m. and will be part of Burlington city council meeting
