New Pizza joint offers up a slice of Italy in Oakville

When the moon hits your eye, get a big pizza pie down in Oakville.
Pizza Nest is a new joint which opened last month at 152 Lakeshore Rd. East.
Using “00” wheat flour from Naples, Pizza Nest ferments its dough for at least 54 hours before firing up the ovens to 450 degrees.
Pizza Nest’s traditional offerings include the classic Margherita, the mushroom loaded Queen Funghi, and herb-infused Sicilian Marinara.
But the shop also has some more modern creations, like The Neighbor – loaded with bacon, sliced jalapeno and pineapple – and the Town Oakville topped pepperoni, a mix bell peppers, roasted onions and mushrooms.

The new pizza joint offers its pies in 12-inch and 16-inch varieties.
But if it’s more than just pizza you’re after, don’t let the name fool you.
Pizza Nest has a full menu of salads, starters and deserts, including fried shrimp and calamari, a caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, and a decadent homemade Tiramisu.
They also offer wine, beer, ciders and Italian sodas for guests to wet their whistles.
