Pickering pair, Oshawa man face numerous charges after Peterborough bust finds drugs, gun

Five executed search warrants in Peterborough and Durham Region resulted in charges against two men from Pickering and a man from Oshawa.

The OPP, Peterborough Police and Durham Regional Police worked together to execute the search warrants at five homes, with the latter two services filing numerous charges against the trio.

Police say investigators found a loaded pistol and a “large quantity” of fentanyl and cocaine.

Robert Davis, 30 of Pickering, has been charged with:

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime-over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid

Francis Laffier, 24 of Pickering, has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm/ammunition
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of firearm or weapon contrary to prohibition order

Mark Stephens, 24 of Oshawa, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime-under $5,000

The three men were scheduled for a bail hearing on March 11.
