The City of Pickering is offering a New Superheroes in Training program for children ages 4 – 6 who have an interest in saving the world.

The program, which got its kick start from a $15,000 grant from Jumpstart, will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays at the George Ashe Library and Community Centre beginning, August 4.

Each week kids can train hard by completing various obstacle courses to defeat numerous villains and save the world. Throughout the program, various crafts will be completed to enhance participants very own superhero persona.

Two time slots are available for participants to choose from: Session 1 operates from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and session 2 operates from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Jumpstart funding helped purchase a variety of new equipment for the program.
