Pickering man facing stunt driving charges

A 30 year-old Pickering is facing stunt driving charges after he was clocked doing 149 km/hr in a 70 zone in Whitby Tuesday night.

Traffic Services Branch officer from Durham Police stopped the man at Coronation Road and Taunton Road just after 11 p.m.

He was charged with speeding, stunt driving and careless driving and had his license suspended for seven days.
His vehicle was also impounded and will be in lockup for 14 days.

This comes a day after day an Oshawa woman was caught by the OPP driving 174 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Hwy. 407 in Woodbridge.
