Pickering man charged with stunt driving after crash in Kitchener

A man from Pickering has been charged with stunt driving after crashing in Kitchener.

The driver was driving down Ottawa St. near Valleyview Rd. in the city’s southeast around 1 p.m. on December 11. The driver lost control of the car and crashed into a hydro pole.

Neither the driver nor his passenger were hurt in the crash. Police investigated the crash and charged the driver, 20, with stunt driving and dangerous driving.

The hydro pole has since been repaired.

As a result of the charges, the driver’s license is automatically suspended for 30 days and his car is impounded for two weeks.
