Mississauga’s loss is Pickering’s gain after Pickering Fire Services hired Nigel Robinson as its new Deputy Fire Chief.

The move comes after former Deputy Fire Chief Stephen Boyd’s promotion to the top job, effective today.

Robinson held the titles of Acting Deputy Chief, Fire Prevention & Risk Reduction, and Divisional Chief of Inspections & Enforcement with Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services. Robinson is a graduate of the Seneca College Fire Protection Engineering Program, Pre-Service Firefighter Program, and recipient of various National Fire Protection Association certifications.

With an extensive background in the areas of Fire & Life Safety, Workplace Health & Safety, and Emergency Management Operations, Robinson is anxious to begin overseeing the Fire Prevention Division and Pickering’s Yellow and Grey Platoons.
