Pickering Animal Services partners with Ren’s Pets on adoption event

Pickering Animal Services and Ren’s Pets are inviting the public to join their upcoming Adoption & Donation Drive Weekend August 20-21 at Ren’s Pets Kingston Road location in Ajax.

Pickering Animal Services will be bringing in cats and other small animals that will be available for adoption at the Ren’s Pets store at 280 Kingston Rd E.  Attendees will learn about responsible pet ownership and enjoy a variety of interactive activities. There will be games, prizes, education stations, and a photo booth.

Ren’s Pets will be offering $5 nail trimming for dogs on the Sunday (August 21) and will be accepting donations such as toys, blankets, bedding, and gift cards the entire weekend, all of which will go to Pickering Animal Services.

“We are excited to partner with Ren’s Pets on this meaningful event,” said Lindsey Narraway, Supervisor, Pickering Animal Services. “Over the last few months, we have received many calls from people looking to surrender their pets. We want to remind everyone that animals are a lifetime commitment, and it is extremely important to do your research before deciding to adopt.”

Every animal that gets adopted over the weekend will go home with coupons and a special adoption package filled with goodies to help them settle into their new home.
