PHOTOS: These are the most and least expensive homes that sold in Mississauga in August 2021

Are you hoping to buy a home in Mississauga soon?

While the market remains hot, some home types are still selling for a little bit less.

According to real estate website and brokerage Zoocasa, the average house prince in Mississauga hit $962,679 in August 2021. While that price point is high, buyers should note that Mississauga is one of the few municipalities with an average home price below the million-dollar mark.

That said, larger homes are quite costly. 

According to Zoocasa, demand continues to be strong for detached houses despite a 33 per cent year-over-year drop in sales. Overall, 241 homes traded hands last month and the average price for a detached rose 10 per cent from last year to hit $1,438,177. Condos were also popular last month, with 284 units (a 23 per cent increase over last year) selling at an average price of $598,979.

Townhouse sales were flat at 157 transactions ($797,771), while semi-detached homes experienced the largest annual sales drop of 44 per cent with 94 sales. Semis sold at an average price of $1,026,791.

That might sound discouraging, but prospective homebuyers can still purchase some condos for well under $500,000.

Here’s a look at the most and least expensive homes that changed hands last month in Mississauga.

Most Expensive:

2431 Loanne Drive

This home was listed for $4,588,888 and sold for $4,070,000. It has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and it’s approximately 5,000 square feet in size. It also has a finished, open concept, walk-up basement, and a dog wash on the main floor.

This home was listed for $3,499,000 and sold for $3,371,900. It has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It also has a fibreglass pool, custom cabana with bar, an irrigation system for grass and flowers, and built-in speakers inside and outside.

This home was listed for $3,499,000 and sold for $3,327,000. It has four bedrooms and five bathrooms on almost half an acre of land. It also has a finished basement with walkout access to the backyard and a walk-in wine cellar.
