If you’ve been working from home for the last few months, you may be surprised when you see the changes that have been made to Bramalea GO Station.

Over the last few months, Metrolinx has been working on upgrading the station in order to serve more passengers on a daily basis, as well as facilitate the introduction of all-day, two-way GO train service in the coming years.

Some of these improvements include: a new station building, a new parking garage with 2059 space, a new passenger pick-up and drop-off area, covered bicycle parking, a new retail space, and enhanced safety features including new emergency call systems and upgraded lighting.

Additionally, the Station will also be getting an upgrade when it comes to accessibility—the elevators will be upgraded to platform level, and there will also be a new accessible station building, as well as pedestrian tunnels connecting to the train platforms.

More upgrades are still expected to be completed in 2022.
