PHOTOS: Renowned Makeup Artist Makes Special Appearance at Square One in Mississauga

Saturday, Nov. 15 was anything but a usual shopping day at Holt Renfrew in Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga because a very special guest appeared at an exclusive event in the Grand Rotunda to treat attendees to a fun (and fabulous) makeup tutorial.
On the chilly fall day, dozens of guests flocked to the shopping centre to enjoy a two-hour, sold-out makeup masterclass by Sabrina Wassel, the renowned local makeup artist and influencer behind SabrinaXMakeup.
At the event, Wassel, who currently works out of Hamilton and is best known for her transformational before and after series, walked attendees through the latest beauty trends while sharing tips and tricks for creating the perfect look.
As her fans waited patiently to jot down her tips in gorgeous Holt Renfrew notebooks–all while taking some time to sip on elegant mocktails–Wassel made a grand entrance into the Rotunda and introduced her model for the day, Mia Martina.
The appearance was quite a treat, as Martina is a Juno Award-nominated Canadian singer and songwriter who is known for her hit singles Stereo Love, Burning, Latin Moon, and Beast.

Wassel, who is well-known for making her customers red-carpet-ready before weddings and other events, was greeted by enthusiastic applause when she took the mic and thanked her fans for coming to the masterclass.
Wassel has built quite a name for herself in the industry, having worked as a makeup assistant for Glam by Maryam and WakeupandMakeup in a sold-out makeup seminar in 2015.
Her work has also been reposted by many large makeup brands/beauty bloggers, including @Hudabeauty, @WakeupandMakeup, @Gerardcosmetics, @Girlactik, and others.
She was also chosen as one of the Best Makeup Artists in Hamilton by popular radio show 102.9 K lite FM and worked as a PRO Artist for Anastasia Beverly Hills. Wassel also hosted a sold-out makeup seminar for Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist, Hrush Achemyan, in 2017.
While the two-hour masterclass was incredibly interesting and illuminating, guests got to enjoy more than just tips on the latest (and greatest) makeup trends, they were also treated to a gift card for the Holt Renfrew Square One Beauty Hall.
They also received gorgeous Holt Renfrew gift bags filled with makeup that can be used for any occasion (including any upcoming parties and events that are sure to come up this holiday season!).
Special VIP tickets even included a private meet & greet with Wassel in the Holt Renfrew Square One Personal Shopping suite.
After the event wrapped up–and fans gasped at how gorgeous Martina looked–Wassel took to Instagram to thank Square One, Holt Renfrew and her dedicated fans for a perfect class.
“I am still pinching myself over this! I just cannot even deal and get over this incredible experience. This show exceeded ALL of my expectations and will forever be close to my heart,” Wassel wrote on Instagram.
