The Cherry Blossom trees are in full bloom at Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park and a local photographer captured their beauty.

“My wife and I went to see them on Wednesday and of course the crowds were ridiculous. I had an idea to come back at night and try a few things,” said Dave from freaktography.com on a Reddit post.

“First, I placed all of my Lume Cube lights up in the trees and down at the base of some of them to illuminate the path and the blooms. Second, I attached a light to the bottom of my drone and hovered it just above the tops of the trees to illuminate the trees from the top.

“Then, well I flew my drone around through the path to give the light painting effect.”

The result is a spectacular view of one of Burlington’s most iconic locations.

“Going at night was definitely the way to go as I didn’t have to worry about 1) getting in peoples way, 2) people being in my way and 3) having people in my shots.”
