One such development that is coming near the Brampton GO station at 45 Railroad Street.

Construction of the development will begin September 19 following a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Redwood Properties, Boardwalk REIT and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown.  

Dubbed “45 Railroad”, this 365-unit residential community is situated directly across Brampton’s downtown GO station or the Redwood Station. 45 Railroad aims to provide residents with affordable luxury in a premier transit-oriented location.

“Offering unprecedented choice in a 2 tower (27 & 25 storeys) rental community, 45 Railroad offers spacious family-sized units embodying a lifestyle of convenience and affordable luxury. Fused with old-world historical charm, a two-storey heritage building will act as a podium base to the 365 rental units,” says the developers. 

Around 25 per cent of rooms will have one bedroom, 50 per cent will have two bedrooms and another 25 per cent will have three bedrooms, averaging about 900 square feet. 

45 Railroad will feature an array of building amenities including a private 4th-floor outdoor roof garden featuring a pool, BBQ area and kids play area. Other amenities include two lounges as well as two dining rooms, a catering kitchen, fitness and yoga studio, bike lockers, car wash, pet washing station and storage lockers. 

The property will also feature a three-level underground garage with a three-level above-grade parking podium, fronted with grade related units, a lobby and a podium rooftop amenity space.

A representative from Redwood indicated earlier this year that these units were rental and not for sale condominiums with the rental rates to be determined closer to the date of completed construction.

With these apartments going up right next to the Brampton GO station and not too far away from the city’s downtown, it won’t be surprising to see a lot of interest from people to move into these buildings once they are completed.
