A Brampton jewelry store is temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed through the front of the shop on the weekend.

The incident happened around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday at the Jaipur Gore Plaza located at 8887 The Gore Rd. in Brampton, according to Peel Regional Police.

Photos shared on social media show a white sedan crashed into the front of Koka Jewellers with a tow truck and Peel police officers on the scene.

Police have not confirmed the incident was a robbery but a worker at the shop told Insauga.com that several men entered the store after the crash but added nothing was taken from the store as valuables were locked in a safe.

The store was closed at the time of the crash and no one was injured, Koka Jewellers said.

Koka Jewellers says it will be temporarily closed due to the damage but will reopen in a few days.

The incident makes for at least the third time a Brampton jewelry store has been damaged in recent weeks.

The White Carat Co. Diamonds at Bramalea City Centre was robbed twice within a month with one incident caught on camera by shoppers.

The most recent robbery happened on Dec. 8 and investigators said police were in the process of confirming whether the two smash-and-grabs are linked.
