Burlington knife teen youth girls suspect
Police want to identify this man.

Halton police want to identify a man they believe was involved in a knife incident with two Burlington youths.

The incident occurred June 9 around 1:30 p.m. as two girls were walking behind a plaza in the Appleby Line and Fairview Street area.

Police say the girls were confronted by a man on a bicycle who was holding a large kitchen knife. The girls were not physically injured and fled the scene before calling police.

Police say the man did not speak to the girls and was last seen pedalling along the Centennial Bikeway Trail.

Officers have since released a photo of the man they are looking for.

The man is described as Asian, approximately 50-years-old with long black hair tied in a bun or ponytail, and a thin build. The man is missing a top tooth and was seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt with blue gloves and white/black checkered pants.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2316.
