The skein of pharmacy robberies across the region continues, with one in Mississauga getting held up by an armed trio on Wednesday night (April 20).

Peel Regional Police say they received a report at 7:59 p.m. about a hold-up at a pharmacy at Mavis Road and Central Parkway. Three males were involved and a gun was visible as they made away with drugs and money.

The suspects are described as Black men who were wearing dark hoodies and black masks. It is not yet clear how they fled from the scene.

Pharmacy robberies have been frequently in Peel Region and Toronto over the first few months of this year.

Earlier on Wednesday, two people were arrested and charged in relation to three pharmacy robberies which Peel and Toronto police have been investigating since last week.
