A pet expo is set to hit the International Centre in Mississauga this spring.

The event, called the Canadian Pet Expo is Canada’s largest indoor pet festival as well as an interactive event for pet lovers.

The expo will take place from Apr. 7 to 9 and will feature live entertainment, a cat show, grooming demonstrations, celebrity pets and a pet-focused marketplace.

Along with a spring canine fun zone where furry friends can run around, there will also be an aqua dogs dock diving installation.

Additionally, for small animal lovers, the event will feature a small animal village to showcase breeders, rescues and specialty products for hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and other small pets. There will also be opportunities to take photos with the Easter Bunny.

And, for those who love birds, the expo will provide an opportunity to meet Canada’s leading pet avian specialty shop owner in a bird zone that will feature various breeds. Guests will also be able to engage with ethical parrot owners and chat with the breeders at Homestead’s Hatchery.

The event is pet-friendly, however, pets must be kept in carriers or on a leash. Attendees must also download, complete and print a pet waiver prior to the event.

Passes are on sale now and cost $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and children ages seven to 15.

On-site parking will be available for free.
