Peru on the horizon for Whitby woman after $100,000 lotto win

A Whitby woman will soon be packing for a trip to Peru after a $100,000 lottery win.

The winner, Krystal Wilson, 35, is an actress and model. She went into the Petro Canada on Dundas St. in Whitby to pick up the ticket. When she returned to check it, she found her Encore draw matched six of seven numbers.

“When I checked my ticket at the store, the clerk told me I might have won something big. I was so thankful,” she later told the OLG. Her husband was shocked at the news with Wilson saying, “He told me I’m blessed. This is a great restart, to be able to pay some bills and live more comfortably. It feels very surreal.”

She also has a couple of trips in mind including to Peru, “where there is a spiritual mountain hike” and “I would also like to take my dad to Africa.”
