Person in crisis in Oakville brought to ‘safe conclusion’

A person in crisis early Monday morning in Oakville resulted in a pair of road closures.

Halton Regional Police attended to a person in crisis before 11 a.m. in the area of Cross Ave. and Speers Rd.

“We are pleased to advise that the situation has been brought to a safe conclusion and all roads have been re-opened,” Halton police said in a tweet.

“We thank the public for their patience during the course of this incident.”

Police say there was no risk to the public safety and that the situation was contained to the area.

Cross Ave. from Lions Lane to Speers Rd. was closed for nearly two hours by police, while Speers Rd. from Kerr St. to Go Station was also closed down.
