Peel Region reporting 67 new COVID-19 cases, 31 in Mississauga and 29 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 67 new COVID-19 cases as of Monday (August 30).

Of Monday’s new cases, 31 are in Mississauga, while 29 are in Brampton, and seven are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 113,878 cases. Of these, 112,364 have recovered, while 573 are still pending, 3,327 have been hospitalized, and 942 have died.

As of Monday, 59.2 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.5 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 694 new cases on Monday, but no new deaths. With 18,561 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 3.74 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 17,767 vaccinations. As of Monday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 78 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
