Peel Region reporting 60 new cases of COVID-19, 31 in Brampton and 25 in Mississauga

The Region of Peel is reporting 60 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday (August 11).

Of Wednesday’s new cases, 31 are in Brampton, while 25 are in Mississauga, and just four are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 112,325 cases. Of these, 111,152 have recovered, while 296 are still pending, 3,251 have been hospitalized, and 878 have died.

As of Wednesday, 59.4 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.4 per cent are in Mississauga, and just four per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 324 new cases on Wednesday, as well as three new deaths. With 24,772 tests completed, this drops the positivity rate to 1.31 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 48,307 vaccinations. As of Wednesday, 71.5 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 83 per cent of adults, and 74 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
