Peel Region reporting 59 new COVID-19 cases, 29 in Mississauga and 25 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 59 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (September 14).

Of Tuesday’s new cases, 29 are in Mississauga, while 25 are in Brampton, and just five are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 115,195 cases. Of these, 113,723 have recovered, while 482 are still pending, 3,371 have been hospitalized, and 991 have died.

As of Tuesday, 59 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.7 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 577 new cases on Tuesday, as well as seven new deaths. With 21,133 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.73 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 28,657 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 74 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 86 per cent of adults, and 80 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
